OR

April 6, 2004 - This project is still on in the drawing board - literally, but the drawing above shows the general direction I plan on heading. Wood box beam for the main frame and still working on drive-train and suspension options - see below.

Projected specifications  (Targets, really):

Long-wheelbase suspended Bike

'Short'-wheelbase Trike

Wheelbase . . . . . . . 90"
Length Over-all . . . 1200"
Seat Heights. . . . . .  14"
Weight . . . . . . . . 60 lbs

Wheelbase . . . . . . . 108"
Length Over-all . . . 120"
Seat Heights. . . . 14"; 16"
Weight . . . . . . . . . 60 lbs

Lots of snow on the ground now but I would like to have this bike on the road by the end of May at the latest.

Next step is to decide best (cheapest) way to create an independent pedaling system. One idea for the 'Delta' trike above, is to have the captain drive the left rear wheel and the stoker power the right rear wheel. Then, it will be time to lay out the suspension and frame full size on the shop floor to verify seat and crank positions. Onward!!

Possible???
