Peter Jones' Recumbent "Go Cart" Trike
Peter sent in these photos of his two kids Emma & Luke enjoying their new Trike. They asked their Dad for a "Go Cart" and this is what Peter came up with. They have to be the envy of everyone in the neighborhood. Here is what Peter had to say about this project...
"The machine was built out of old bikes , scrap metal and an old satellite dish for the seat. It currently has 15 gears but when I get round to connecting the third set of gears it will then have 45 gears. Not sure about the weight but it's not that light. I did build a trailer to attach to the back with its own set of gears and brakes but this proved to be a bit unstable when going round corners. With a few design changes on the trailer, I think I can resolve this problem."
