Each of my wooden boxes are a unique creation. Some of them started with an idea, some with an interesting piece of wood, all are made with a great deal of hands on attention. Most changed as they went along so often ending up being rather a surprise. I like making something practical in a creative vein so all are usable and useful, with leather lining on the inside bottoms so when you put something in the box it sounds as smooth as the box feels. Most of the wood used in making the boxes came from our homestead in the northwoods of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. All the wood is local wood. As a whole they are gentle boxes.
